Well, that is not REALLY true. But this is my first pendant that I made in silver. The almost final piece from the fall SVA silver jewelry making class with Victoria Tillotson. I used piercing, drilling, sawing, a little bit of banging with a rawhide hammer (I had to get a little bit in there – sooo much fun to beat things!), steel wool for the brushed finish, my favorite labradorite cabochon and sterling chain.
This was a very belated birthday gift for the wonderful Ms. Topping Haggerty, improviser extraordinaire, among other things. Unfortunately, the cut out was supposed to look more like a moon and less like a banana. But Topping likes monkeys (who doesn’t like monkeys?!?) and monkeys like bananas, so I think this will work.
