Technically, it is still Autumn.

by Joy Masters on December 12, 2010

Until December 21. So, I am actually early, in a sense, with my Colors of Fall Design for Artbeads. One of the inspirations that we could use was Pantone’s Color Report – Fall 2010. I chose lagoon, chocolate truffle and golden glow as a jumping off point.

It’s called Autumn Sunset. Of course it is asymmetrical.

I love, love, love the engraved purpleheart wood sun pendant with gold foil. I love it. It’s pretty. I also used these juicy venetian glass cubes- they’re nice and chunky, glazed porcelain square tubes which look more chocolate-cranberry in person, brass celtic sun link and a hand-dyed silk burgundy/chocolate ribbon that I used as the clasp that sits right over your shoulder. I like using ribbon for clasps because then you can adjust the length to suit your individual neck needs. Having a fat neck day? No problem. Having a skinny neck day? Also no problem. I used 20 gauge brass wire to connect the beads.

Fantastically beautiful! I was always wondering what to wear on my fat neck days.

Thanks Gail! I think it’s a niche that hasn’t been cracked yet.
