Helloooooo!!! Guess what? I am going to be at the Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Market! Saturday and Sunday November 17 & 18, 11-6pm at the East River State Park at N. 8th St. and Kent Ave. in Brooklyn, NY. It’s the Williamsburg Waterfront people. It’s got great views of Manhattan. Also, the fair will be heated! And dry… So, you’ve got to come and check it out. I will be sharing a booth with the lovely Sonia of Knitting Peace. She has beautiful knitted pieces and a noble cause.

2nd Annual Soulsational Music and Wellness Festival

by Joy Masters on July 29, 2012

Hello! I was lucky enough to be at the 2nd Annual Soulsational Music and Wellness Festival this weekend. The people were great and sometimes the weather was too. But then the rest of the time it was thunder and lightning. Despite this, I was very happy to be a vendor there this year. I met a lot of great people. Besides meeting the lovely ladies of Soulsational and  Not Yo Mama’s Affairs, I also meet Katie and her awesome family from Lille Syster (they really helped me out since I was at the show sans dude.). They make amazing paper flowers of which I think I will be purchasing many. Also, I tasted the treats of Passion Flour Cupcakery. Mmmm, vanilla lavender… mmm… and they were vegan people! Mmm…

As with all shows I do, there is a mad scramble to make new shiny things to bring with me. Here are some for this show.

I love the dynamic shape of these crystal quartz icicles. This beauty has moonstone rondelles in between the iciciles and a small section of pale mint green amethyst rondelles that you don’t know is there unless you are looking for them. It sold yesterday to lovely lady. As with all my shiny things, I make them to go out into the world and  be loved, but it is always bittersweet when they leave. :(

I have been very into crystal quartz and white stones lately. I think it has something to do with summer. The heat calls for cooler, lighter colors and makes me want to clear out the old stuff in my life and perhaps clear up the future too. Make sense?

Here is another crystal quartz with copper multi-chain and moonstone rondelle sections in the chain.

This one has white jade rondelles, crackle quartz, a large matte painted white jade white nugget and the asymmetry that balances me. :) It feels bold and cool. A little girl exclaimed yesterday, “Ooh-ho-oh!” when she saw it. It made so happy. The best reaction!

More white jade, this time cool upside down tear shapes that nestle over each other nicely.

Good luck with the impending dog days everyone!
